I always find it difficult to write about myself. But I believe that if you want to work with me, you should know a bit about me - so here we go...

First of all, I am passionate about cars. It is an interest that I have followed since I was young, and becoming an automotive journalist has therefore seemed like a natural career for me. I'm not one of these bloggers who is doing it to get a free car - I genuinely want to inform and educate others on a market I love.

And since leaving education, with a Distinction in GNVQ Media and a BA Hons degree in Journalism, I have done just that. I started at a trade publication - Car Audio Retailer - where I rose to Editor and became a well-recognised face in the industry. My career since then has seen me as a technical Editor at Practical Motorhome, Editor of Disability Magazine (with focus on the automotive section), Assistant Editor at +Plastic Electronics and Editor at Aftermarket magazine. Some very different areas of the industry, but all equally important.

I also run my own online magazines, All Torque and Auto Repair Focus, which help keep me in contact with the automotive market. Since going freelance, I've been lucky enough to work with some brilliant companies and publications and look forward to this continuing.

I like to think of myself as fun, interesting and someone you can easily talk to. As you'll notice by my website design (built myself by the way), I'm a fan of orange - and when has anything in that colour been boring?!

I have a number of contacts across the automotive industry and can cover any sector, from OEM to aftermarket, autonomous technology to hydrogen fuel cells. Have a look through my examples and drop me a line to discuss your needs.

I look forward to talking with you

Phil
